[Solved] Gods Indiscriminately Punishing People

Prompt: Decide whether or not the Greek value of justice is upheld in the poem of The Odyssey. If so, how is it upheld, why does it matter? If not, how is it not, why does it matter? Link not only what it shows about the character/situation of the story, but also Greek society as a whole.

Thesis: The Greek value of justice is not upheld in the odyssey because of the gods indiscriminately punishing people, inflicting disproportionate consequences on wrong-doers close-ones, and applying a double-standard for male infidelity.

Would my thesis get an A, if not how can I improve it?

Assertion: Main Ideas + Thematic Sentence

Does my assertion followed the structure above if not how can I improve it?

Assertion 1: The nondiscriminating nature of the gods’ punishments were unjust because they often were unduly harsh, undermining the Greek value of justice.

Assertion 2: In addition, justice was not upheld when the gods inflected disproportionate consequences on not just the wrong-doers themselves, but also others.

Assertion 3: Finally, allowing double-standard for male infidelity was not just due to while men are escaping their disloyalty, women are getting punished for it.
